Mission and Philosophy
To enable those harmed by gender ideology to engage in political and legislative advocacy to end it.
Who we are
We are a detransitioner and desister-led organization. People who have lived this hold leadership, research, and strategy roles, not just a microphone. That said, we are not a closed group. We will add board and team members for what the work requires, including people who have not been directly impacted by this issue.
How change happens
Change happens when the people harmed can hold institutions to account, and when transitioning children and vulnerable adults stops paying. We raise the costs through civil law reform.
Detransitioners and desisters will end this as leaders, researchers, strategists, and orators.
What we do now
We are working to introduce statute of limitations bills in several states so that people harmed by medical transition can bring medical malpractice claims forward. In states where we can revive claims past the statute of limitations, we will push to do so. Where we cannot, we pursue prospective extensions.
How we decide
We give detransitioners a ladder, not a spotlight. The people we work with get real roles, skills, and a path into leadership. We treat them as whole people, not as stories. Their well-being comes before the campaign’s need for a face.
We will work with Democrats, Republicans, and anyone else who will work with us to pass these bills. We prioritize legislative progress over partisan fighting.
What we refuse
- We will not take money that mandates a change of our strategy or mission.
- We will not put sitting elected officials on our board or in other leadership positions.
